Description

They say “there’s no replacement for displacement” and the Mercury 150 Four Stroke is proof of this! This in-line 4 cylinder four stroke features four valves per cylinder driven by a simple, single overhead cam shaft but it’s the massive 3.0 liter displacement that makes this outboard a torque monster.

Not only does the 150 Merc have the largest displacement in its class, it boasts more displacement than Mercury’s Verado family of 6 cylinder outboards that produce up to double the horsepower.

This outboard is an ideal match for most aluminum boats in the 18′ to 20′ range and its our personal favourite on Crestliner’s 1850 and 1950 series boats. It has more than ample power for any boat in this segment and it will put a smile on your face every time you power up!

Charlie Wray powers his 1950 Fish Hawk with this outboard on his Fishful Thinking TV Show and tells us that he couldn’t imagine an application where you would want for more power on his boat.
